Ke'anae Arboretum

Hawaii > Maui > Hana
Summary
Length1 mi
Elev. Gain50 ft
Difficulty1 / 5
Rating7 / 10
TypeForest
The Ke'anae Arboretum has easy trails that take you along a stream through a garden of diverse trees and flowers. The lower portion of the arboretum is planted with exotic trees and the upper end is devoted to plants sed by the ancient Polynesians.

The hike starts by passing a gate and following an asphalt path. You can hear, but not see the Pi'ina'au Stream here. It becomes visible as you make your way a little further down the path. The species of trees here are plentiful, too many to name. AT 0.3 miles the asphalt end and you'll see a collection of plants that were brought here by the native Hawaiians.
